AdMech FanDex:
Base Sizes

As you all know, the new version of the AdMech is out. And if you didn't know that then you may want to come out of the living area known as a rock and click on the following link and download the thing! With the new version out I am ecstatic to report you all love it. Oddly, I have yet to hear anything bad about the new version, as bittersweet as that may be (if I don't hear bad news, I don't have much to work on.) There has been mention of some confusion on what the base sizes of models should be for gameplay purposes. While descriptions in my fandex are very broad so as to not restrict what people wish to make their models as, I do agree there is a need for some guidelines on the base sizes of the models in order for gameplay to work correctly. More after the jump.

I'll make this a pretty easy setup for everyone. While interpretation is always left up to the player, this is how I will be modeling my minis and how I intended them to be based from day one:

Typical Infantry Base (25mm):
  • Tech-Priest Magos
  • Tech-Priest Transmechanic
  • Disciples
  • Rune Priest
  • Zacharia
  • Fredrick
  • Commander Lau
  • Praetorian
  • Machine Cultist
  • Pastor Moviss
  • Cult Servitor
  • Caminus-Priest
  • Techmarine
  • Forsaken
  • Electro-Priest
  • Shock Praetorian
  • Skitarii

Terminator Base (40mm):
  • Servo-Skull Swarm
  • Robot

Dreadnought Base (60mm):
  • Seren
  • The Adamantium Giant
  • Knight Titan
  • Cult Abomination

Valkyrie Base:
  • Cantharis

No Base (Vehicles):
  • Gant
  • Divexo Beacon
  • Atlas ARV
  • Leman Russ (all variants)
  • Phantous
  • Warhound Scout Titan

That's about the size of it. See what I did there? Anywho, if you have any more questions or concerns; post here and keep those emails rolling in!

  1. Since you haven't received any criticism so far allow me to post some of the non-constructive variety. I'll let someone else cover the constructive criticism.

Have you actually ever played 40K?
My Blood Angels/Space Wolves/Tyranid army will pwn your noob codex!!11!
Does the word BALANCE mean anything to you?
I have seen better AdMech codexes.
Your codex is ok, but it could be a lot better.

I think I've covered most of it here. Feel free to insert your own poor grammer and spelling where you feel appropriate.
